Universidad Pontificia Comillas is a private institution belonging to the group of universities that make up the academic landscape of the Community of Madrid.

Comillas Pontifical University is a private institution with a long academic tradition located in the Community of Madrid. It is part of the prestigious group of Madrid universities and is recognized for both its high academic quality and its humanistic focus and social commitment. The university takes its name from the Cantabrian town of Comillas, where it was originally founded in the late 19th century before relocating to the capital.

Comillas is organized across several campuses, the main ones being Alberto Aguilera, located in the heart of Madrid, and Cantoblanco, situated in the northern area of the city. The Alberto Aguilera Campus houses the Faculty of Law (ICADE) and the School of Engineering (ICAI), which host most of the university’s undergraduate and postgraduate programs. This campus is very centrally located and well connected by public transportation, allowing students to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of Madrid while easily reaching the university via the metro (lines 2, 3, and 10, San Bernardo station) and multiple bus routes.

The Cantoblanco Campus, on the other hand, is home to the remaining faculties and centers, particularly those related to Human and Social Sciences, Education, and Psychology. Although it is located on the outskirts of the city, in a peaceful environment surrounded by green spaces, it is very well connected by public transport. The commuter train (Cercanías line C-4) links Cantoblanco with central Madrid in approximately 25 to 30 minutes, stopping at key stations such as Chamartín, Nuevos Ministerios, and Sol.

Thanks to this excellent connection, many students choose to live in central Madrid and commute daily to Cantoblanco using public transportation. However, nearby areas such as Tres Cantos and Alcobendas are also great housing options, offering more affordable prices and a quieter atmosphere than the city center.
