Barcelona is an active and exciting city to visit or living, although sometimes it can be overwhelming such a large city, with so many things to do. Below, we present a list of places that you cannot miss during your stay in Barcelona, as well as general information on how to make the most of Barcelona.
How to get to Barcelona?
Barcelona is a city with a huge airport connection network, and at the same time it is easy to get to Barcelona from the airport. Since it only has one airport, you can't get lost! You have several options to get to Barcelona and your destination from the moment you land.
Barcelona airport has two terminals, T1 and T2. They are connected by free buses 24 hours a day, and it will take you about 15 minutes to get from one terminal to another. It is important for you to know which terminal is yours, as this will determine how you can get to the airport from Barcelona or return to the city. In T1 you have a bus and metro, and in T2 you have a bus, metro, but also commuter train.
Bus: You have a direct bus service to the airport, the “Aerobus”. Their hours are from 5 in the morning to 11 at night, and it usually takes around 25 minutes to travel to the airport. Metro: Metro line L9 South connects El Prat Airport with the University Zone, and it will take approximately half an hour to complete the journey. The cost is usually around 5 euros per person per trip. More information is available on the AENA website.
Cercanías: The R2 North train of Rodalies line that leaves from T2 will allow you to reach the center of Barcelona in about half an hour. The cost is similar to the metro. Remember to check the updated prices and schedules on the Renfe Rodalies de Catalunya website.

What is the cost of living in Barcelona?
To live in Barcelona you will need approximately €800 to cover accommodation, food and associated expenses. Keep in mind that Barcelona offers many possibilities for leisure and cultural activities. How to move around Barcelona?
Barcelona is one of the best connected cities in Spain, offering great public transport options.
The city has 11 metro lines (adding the Barcelona metro lines and those of the railways managed by the Generalitat of Catalonia), more than 80 bus lines, commuter train service (Rodalies), tram service and funiculars and cable cars, although the latter two are for more tourist use. To all these services we must add, of course, the large fleet of taxis in the city of Barcelona and the public bicycle rental service.
Metro: The Barcelona metro operates from Monday to Thursday from 05:00 to 24:00. On Fridays and the eve of holidays it is active from 05:00 to 02:00, and on weekends it operates from 05:00 on Saturday to 24:00 on Sunday without interruption. In addition, there are other festive nights in which the metro also runs all night, such as the night of San Juan, the Gracia festivities, the Mercè festivities or New Year's Eve.
Bus: Barcelona has more than 80 bus lines that run through the urban area of the city and also reach other municipalities in the province. The bus reaches practically any part of the city and at any time, since there is also a night bus service, known as Nit Bus.
Tram: Barcelona's tram complements the metro and is an ecological, fast and comfortable means. There are two lines, the Trambaix (T1, T2, T3) and the Trambesòs (T4, T5, T6). With this means you can reach towns like Cornellà or Badalona.
Cercanías: The Renfe Cercanías network (Rodalies) is very useful to reach towns outside of Barcelona.
You can transfer between all transport services within zone 1, with the exception of taxi services, using the integrated cards. The most common thing if you are going to live in the city for a few months is to use the integrated T-casual or T-usual cards.
Barcelona also has a public bicycle rental service, which is very easy to get around due to the large number of bike lanes found throughout the city

What are the best parks in Barcelona?
To walk, play sports, or enjoy Barcelona's climate, one of its best-known parks is Park Güell. This park is one of the large green spaces in Barcelona, with more than 17 hectares of surface, next to the Sierra de Collserola.

Sagrada Familia
It is the best-known monument in Barcelona. The current design is the work of the artist Gaudí, who died without completing the project. However, thanks to the plans that are preserved, work continues on the construction of this temple which, despite being still under construction, can be visited.
Casa Batlló
This monument is also the work of the artist Gaudí. It is a building located in the heart of Barcelona that was the residence of the Batlló family. It stands out for its incredible façade, although you can also access the interior to see each of its corners.
La Pedrera – Casa Milà
Once again, Gaudí was the creator of this modernist building, on whose main floor the Milà family resided. The building is known as La Pedrera and it is possible to access its interior to visit it.
Tibidabo
It is located on the highest peak of the Sierra de Collserola, also known as the Magic Mountain. From here you can see some of the best views of the city. In addition, Tibidabo has an amusement park, a church and an observatory, among other things.
Boquería Market
It is the most famous market in the city of Barcelona and one of its main tourist attractions. It is located on the central Ramblas and there you can buy a wide variety of fresh products throughout its more than 300 stalls.

What museums are there in Barcelona?

Eixampe

Where to go shopping in Barcelona?
Barcelona has dozens of shopping areas throughout the city. Without a doubt, the busiest is Paseo de Gracia, where you can find everything from stores with the most common and well-known brands to stores with the most expensive and exclusive brands.
Paseo de Gracia leads to Plaza de Cataluña, where you can find two of the most famous department stores in Spain, El Corte Inglés and FNAC.
If you prefer the convenience of shopping in a shopping center, within the city of Barcelona you can find the La Maquinista shopping center, the Arenas shopping center, or the Maremagnum shopping center, among others.
