The university’s main campus is located in Zone 16 of Guatemala City, a modern and easily accessible area. This campus houses most of the university’s faculties and schools, including those of Economic and Business Sciences, Engineering, Political and Social Sciences, Environmental and Agricultural Sciences, Architecture, Humanities, and Psychology. The facilities feature spacious green areas, libraries, specialized laboratories, and sports facilities, all contributing to a well-balanced academic and social environment.
In addition to the main campus, URL has regional campuses in several parts of the country, including Quetzaltenango, Cobán, Huehuetenango, Zacapa, and Jutiapa, which help bring higher education closer to communities in the interior and respond to local development needs.
The central campus is well connected to the rest of the city. Students can easily reach it by car or through university and public transportation services, with travel times ranging from 20 to 40 minutes from different parts of the capital, depending on the hour and traffic conditions. For this reason, many students choose to live in nearby areas such as Zone 15, Zone 16, or Carretera a El Salvador, though it is also common for others to reside in different parts of the city and commute daily.
