Camilo José Cela University (UCJC) is a private institution that belongs to the SEK Educational Group, which focuses on research and innovation to remain a leader in academic and professional development. The university is named after the famous and award-winning Spanish author, Camilo José Cela.

The academic offering at Camilo José Cela University (UCJC) is divided between two campuses, creating a range of options when it comes to student housing. One of them is the Villafranca campus, which requires transportation toward Villanueva de la Cañada, northwest of Madrid’s city center. The other campus is located on Almagro Street, near Madrid’s Salamanca district, and hosts mainly postgraduate programs.

As mentioned, the Villafranca campus is located in Villanueva de la Cañada, where you can look for student accommodation, as well as in nearby towns like Majadahonda. Since it’s in the northwest part of the capital, if you plan to drive to UCJC, the most convenient central neighborhoods would be Moncloa-Aravaca, Chamberí, and Latina, with an estimated travel time of around 30 minutes.

However, there are several bus lines that connect the city center with this campus (623, 627, 641, 642, and 643), all departing from the Moncloa Interchange. For this reason, since the trip to the university takes sometime, the best area to find student housing would be around Moncloa, where you can easily walk to the bus station.

As for the Almagro campus of Camilo José Cela University (UCJC), its central location makes it easy to access public transport from your student housing and balance your studies with the full university experience. The closest metro stop is Alonso Martínez (Line 4), which provides fast connections to other parts of the city.

From Atocha, in the Arganzuela district, the trip takes about 25 minutes, similar to travel times from Moncloa or Ciudad Universitaria, since all these areas connect with Line 4. Additionally, if you live nearby in the Salamanca or Chamberí districts, you can even walk to the university. This wide range of transport options makes finding student accommodation much easier.

Your housing preferences will depend on whether you are pursuing an undergraduate or a postgraduate degree, as Camilo José Cela University (UCJC) will host your classes on one of its two campuses. That’s where we come in, at Lodgerin, we’re here to help you find the apartment that best suits your needs.
